South Beach State Park is a destination campsite that stretches from the iconic Yaquina Bay Bridge several miles down the Oregon coast to Newport, Oregon. Newport is a vibrant sea coastal town known for Dungeness crabs and quaint lighthouses. While there, visitors can say hello to the resident sea lions or wander through the local aquarium.
The State Park offers a paved Jetty Trail perfect for jogging or bicycle riding. And kayak and canoe lovers can take a guided 3-mile paddle through the marsh. There is also an equestrian trail to the beach. The South Beach State Park playground offers horseshoe pits and a 9-hole disc golf course.

Fort Stevens State Park is a 4300-acres park that lies at the mouth of the Columbia River on the Northern tip of the Oregon Coast. It is one of the nation's largest public campgrounds and offers camping, bike, kayak rentals, beachcombing, Coffenbury Lake, trails, and a historic shipwreck. Visitors can tour the Peter Iredale Shipwreck near the campground and learn about seafaring history at the Columbia River Maritime Museum.
